Qatar Tourism and Exhibitions Authority to organize a Photo contest
What : Qatar Tourism and Exhibitions Authority is organizing a photo contest in Qatar.
Why : Willing to promote worldwide the new identity of Qatar as a destination, bringing worlds together : business combined with leisure, authenticity joined with advancing technology, and globalization meeting with independence, QTEA would like to encourage Qatari residents and citizens talented photographers to express their own viewpoint on their country, and publish these pictures in all QTEA’s publications, as well as use them during abroad exhibitions.
Who : This contest is open to everyone, with no restrictions of nationality, age or qualification.
How : Take a picture representing the best Qatari spirit, a cultural pride shared with an open-mind, through landmarks, landscapes and portraits. Photos can be treated by Adobe Photoshop or any other photo processing program. Send up to 4 different high resolution pictures (not less than 300m pixels) to photos@qatartourism.gov.qa
When : The closing date of this contest is January 24, 2009, at 11 pm.
Award : 20 photos will be chosen as winners, by 20 different photographers. Each winner will have the opportunity to attach his/her signature or name to the corner of their winning photo, which will give them international exposure, as QTEA will be using these pictures for its publications and abroad exhibitions. In addition, photographers’ name will be mentioned in the index of all QTEA publications with their picture.
